collaboration with The Ford Foundation, IC is studying the financing
needs of mission-driven media companies (broadly defined as minority-owned, independent and explicity social-mission focused). In January 2003, the Investing in Media that Matters conference at Sundance underscored the market demand for niche
media that attend to the financial bottom line as well as social
impact. In 2004, a report entitled, The Double Bottom Line (DBL)
Media Industry: An Analysis of Investment Opportunities, was completed and is now available online.
